It’s been a while since there’s been a gold old-fashioned taxi crash on the Upper West Side — this one happened last Thursday at Broadway & 103rd. MUW reader Kris sent in the photo and this note:
It was quite a noise. Both had passengers, the couple in the one going west on 103 were fine, the guy in the one going north on Bway was holding his jaw, and that cabbie couldn’t open his door. I always wear my seatbelt in cabs.
This accident happened the same night as the shooting on Riverside & 91st last week and Kris reports that cops were actually zooming past this scene without stopping.
Add this to the growing list of recent taxi smash-ups in the neighborhood:
- Taxi vs. Bus
- Taxi vs. Horse Carriage
- Taxi vs. Garbage Truck
- Taxi vs. Two Other Cars
- Taxi vs. Ambulance
- Taxi vs. Bus II
- Taxi vs. Something On The 97th Street Transverse
- Taxi vs. LensCrafters Store
- Taxi vs. 72nd Street Subway Station
