Eater New York has updated their Eater 38, a list of the 38 essential New York restaurants, with additions of pertinent restaurants that had been omitted, have newly become eligible (restaurants must be open at least six months), or have stepped up their game.  Making the list were two Upper West Side restaurants.  Bar Boulud (Broadway between 63rd and 64th) was added to the list after an overwhelming number of Upper West Siders wrote in asking that it be included, and Gennaro (Amsterdam at 92nd) made the list again for its reputation as the Upper West Side staple for solid Italian food.  Check out Eater’s full list, and if you think an Upper West Side joint is being totally overlooked, let them know for future Eater 38 updates.
