Eat Drink Local Week on the Upper West Side

eat-drink-local-week We are in the midst of the second annual Eat Drink Local Week, an 11-day celebration of local foods. Held in collaboration with GrowNYC, the event has not only discounts and special local-food-based menus at participating restaurants, but local food cooking demos and how-to’s, discussions, a vegetable auction, and much more. The Upper West Side has several spots taking part in the festivities, from Salumeria Rosi Parmacotto (Amsterdam between 73rd and 74th), the Italian deli that is offering a special Farmers’ Gin Cucumber Spritzer to Nick & Toni’s Cafe (67th between Broadway and Columbus) will offer a $35 prix fixe dinner along with lunch specials and local beer, wine, and spirits.
