Every Wednesday: Field Trip to the Moon

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

moonCome to the American Museum of Natural History to see an excellent show about the Earth’s moon.  Field Trip to the Moon simulates experiences with the moon, from its creation as a result of a Mars-sized meteor hitting the Earth to a journey to the moon to a sunrise from space.  The journey (in which your seats shake and the virtual reality is intense enough to yield a nausea warning) is created using NASA engineering models and scientific data.  It is an excellent show for kids and adults alike, and will educate you on differences between the Earth and the moon, all while giving you a thrilling journey.

Field Trip to the Moon

Every Wednesday, 10:30 am, $13-$22 (reservations required)
