This Weekend: Grill on the Hill

The August 18th storm that swept through New York City, destroying hundreds of trees throughout Manhattan, continues to have effects on the city’s parks. Both Central Park and Riverside Park have been working on the cleanup of the damaged or destroyed trees, and the work isn’t over. To help this work continue, there will be a worthwhile fundraising event in Central Park on Saturday, Grill on the Hill. Come out to The Great Hill (in the park near Central Park West and 106th), an area that was hit hard by the storm, for a picnic and community fundraiser that will feature live music, entertainment, family activities, contests, and fabulous food. So buy your tickets (discounted if purchased in advance) and bring a blanket to help raise funds that will help keep our park magnificent!
Saturday, October 17th, 2009, 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm, $25-$65 (individual), $125-$150 (family four-pack)
