A fire broke out in a third floor apartment at 250 W 104th (between Broadway and West End) yesterday evening, killing one.  The New York Post reports that a woman who lives in the apartment came home from work to find it on fire with her daughter still inside.  She attempted to pull her daughter out of her bedroom, but found the door mysteriously blockaded.  Her daughter, 48, died of smoke inhalation sometime after the firefighters were called, around 6:00 pm.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
