Workshop on Indoor Composting

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

indoor-compostingCome to Riverside Park today for a great workshop that will help you get the basics on indoor composting.  Composting is the process in which red wiggler worms rapidly eat kitchen scraps transforming all of your “waste” into a useful fertilizer, that can then be fed to hungry plants and trees.  It is a great way to be eco-friendly, and this workshop will show you how simple worm composting can be.  The workshop has a $5 cash fee, and will also offer a reduced price of $44 on a start-up “worm condo.”  The event, held at the Peter Jay Sharp Volunteer House near 107th, requires advance registration, which can be done here.  Happy composting!
