We are scheduled to have some spectacular weather in the coming days, making the thought of watching the exciting World Cup quarterfinal matches from inside a dark bar less-than-appealing.  Fortunately, the 79th Street Boat Basin Café (on the Hudson River at 79th) lets you enjoy the best of both… watching World Cup soccer while outside, enjoying the summer weather!  Come to the bar/restaurant this weekend to watch the games while enjoying food specials and $2 off beers at the bar.  Both of Friday’s games and both of Saturday’s games will be broadcast at the restaurant, with games taking place at 10:00 am and 2:30 pm each day.  It should make for a great start to your Fourth of July weekend!
