The New York City Jazz Festival
The New York City Jazz Festival, produced by Manhattan Concert Productions, allows collaboration of vocal and instrumental ensembles from across the country under the artistic direction of Dr. Steve Zegree with other nationally recognized clinicians. The clinic, focusing on preparation monitoring and effective rehearsals, will lead to an outstanding performance at The Allen Room in Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City (in the Time Warner Center). In addition to participation in a festival chorus made up of all the participating vocal groups, participating ensembles are given the opportunity for solo performance, clinician comments, and private clinic sessions by internationally-recognized clinicians.
