Thursday, September 17th, 2009

nyhist1The New York Historical Society (Central Park West between 76th and 77th) underwent some renovations over the summer, completing upgrades to the galleries and the 77th Street entrance.  Now is the time to visit, see some of the improvements to the space, and check out some of the new exhibitions, debuting this week.  The latest exhibitions include “Nature and the American Vision: The Hudson River School at the New York Historical Society” and “New York Painting Begins: Eighteenth-Century Portraits.”  Looking to save some cash?  Then stop by on a Friday between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm, when admission is “Pay What You Wish.”
